Girls Just Wanna Have FUN!

'He’s like my Chloe shoes, Betsey bag
Oh he's cute...
He’s like my Marc Jacobs chain, Prada shades
What’s his name...?’
                - ACCESSORY by Jordyn Taylor.

What do you think I am talking about here?? Bags, belts, shoes, shades and all those lovely little things that spell bliss- ACCESSORIES!!

As someone's who has spent most of her life in jeans and t-shirt, I completely understand the importance of accessorising. It can make a huge difference to the way you look.
They are the easiest and possibly the cheapest form of self-expression. You just cant go wrong with them.

And the one thing that appeals to me most about accessories is that one size fits all, so there are no size issues while buying accessories!!

SEVEN steps to smart accessorizing:

1 Use colors that work. Avoid using too many hues, stick to ones that complement each other.

2 Don’t be monochromatic; a pink dress with pink shoes and a pink bag work only for Barbie.

3 Keep the occasion in mind. You don’t want to be out of place.

4 Be seasonal; a leather bag in the rain is obviously a bad idea.

5 Edit your look. Too many accessories and you will start looking like a chandelier.

6 Be practical; an extremely beautiful watch with a dial too small to tell time is no good.

7 Confidence is the key. As long as you love it, others will as well... even if you have feathers stuck to your head.

So, go ahead dive into your treasure chest!!!

They come in various size and shapes, for all types of faces. But it is of great importance to select a pair which would really suit you.
The lenses also come in different colors; most popular being black and brown. Nowadays, even purple shades are in vogue.

Some types of glares:

Aviators

Aviators often come in oversized teardrop-shaped lenses and a thin metal frame. It is specially designed for the pilots and always the main fashion stream in eyeglasses fashion world. As a classic style, aviator sunglasses have passed the test of time. Nowadays, not only men but also women prefer aviator sunglasses. Deepika Padukone is always seen sporting aviators.

Wayfarer

Ray-Ban launched the wayfarer in 1953. Although it slipped out of style for some time, it’s back to stay. Many famous manufacturers produce wayfarers with different colors. The wayfarers used the latest plastic moulding techniques and introduced an era of plastic frames in the eyewear market.

Polarized

Polarized sunglasses do a good job of eliminating the glare from surfaces like water, snow. Due to its features, they are of great importance to help wearers who love sports such as driving, golf to protect the eyes and enhance their performance.

Rimless

Due to rimless design, rimless sunglasses are so lightweight that many sports enthusiasts are likely to buy rimless sunglasses. Rimless sunglasses have no frame around the lenses and the temples are attached directly to the lenses. These don’t cover much of your face. Also rimless sunglasses come in different colors and become a current fashion styles.

Wrap-around

With the large lenses and frame, wraparound sunglasses can cover eyes and more area surrounding eyes as goggles do. Besides, thanks to the wraparound design, they prevent damaging UV rays from getting in through the sides, top and bottom of them.

Oversized

Oversized sunglasses first got attention in the 1960’s when Jackie Onassis worn them. Now an increasing number of people are interested in wearing them, especially women. Oversized sunglasses in retro style are so popular that many people are sported wearing them in 2011. Victoria Beckham is one of the style divas who sport these regularly.

Also, keep it in mind that only a branded pair of glasses will help you preserve your eyes. So dont fall for any random glares.

10 simple ways for a Successful Shopping Spree!!!

Disclaimer: The following article is not based on any theoretical study; but on sheer experience.

Hey, dear fellow shopaholics, we all have the wish to shop till we drop and that too, in panache!!! But for a successful shopping spree, a protocol is what you need to follow!

Go ahead, read this to enhance your shopping skills!!!

1. Define your own fashion statement: It is important for each and every girl to define herself or her style. This will only be possible if you know what you prefer wearing rather than relying on someone else to shop for you. You should know what makes u the person you are and accordingly choose the clothes, the accessories and the shoes you wear. That will create your own style statement.

2. Know your colors and body type: Our fashion statement may turn out to be one which doesn't suit you at all. You may prefer to wear a ‘tutu’ which does not flatter your body; or u may feel like wearing junk accessories, but it may look very undesirable to your personality. So it is also important that u know which colors suit you and what flatters your body type.

3. Start a fashion journal of your own: Make a diary or a notebook to note all the interesting new couture you find in magazines, newspapers and on leaflets. Note down the brands, names given to different styles etc. For your own benefit!!! Also you can note what you need to fill your wardrobe with as you remember!

4. Have a Look at your wardrobe before shopping for new clothes: Take some efforts and look through your wardrobe before you plan out a shopping spree. It is important for u to know what you don't have in your wardrobe: it may be a jacket for your dresses or a printed chiffon scarf you never had. If you need t-shirts, see the colors you don't have and note them down. So have a list in your mind before you go to the mall.

5. Don’t hit a mall always, try ‘small boutiques’: You may think going to a mall is practical and a time-saver, as you get all the brands under the same roof. But if you want that designer bag, which nobody in your circle has, and then you have to walk that extra mile in search of a perfect bag. Efforts always pay off, and even your little effort of finding small boutiques, will make your wardrobe grow and you will have a share of your own vintage dresses!!! And it's a totally different way to have fun!!

6. Don't think, buy: When you find a dress of your dreams, don't think much. If you feel it's really worth and you will really look ravishing in that dress, please buy it, because if you don't, you will repent it for the rest of your life. (This is a tip based on personal experiences)!!

7. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things: Don't buy a t-shirt if you don't need one; just because it’s on sale. Buy something which you don't have, something which may change your look, or add to your wardrobe. Also dig out your grandma's old jewellery box and to your surprise, you may find beautiful oxidized jewellery to compliment your rather modern dresses excellently.

8. Be a little ‘Brand’ conscious: Know where to buy stuff, don't buy a dress for Prom at a roadside shop. Be sure where you want to wear the dress and invest in it accordingly. If you want to wear a dress for your first date, buy matching accessories and good shoes with it. But if it's for daily use, try and wear your old accessories using the mix-and-match technique.

9. "Sale" is the key word to good shopping: Although it comes once or twice in a year, it is a way to shop in all the brands which u would not buy otherwise. Once your list is ready, wait for the sale, to make the most of your budget. Sale gives you an opportunity to shop twice the number of clothes you would buy on a normal day. So, I insist you to attend all sales and savor the sweet smell of triumph over your aesthetic senses.

10. Shopping is an “investment”: When you shop, you invest. So, it is important to shop wisely and thoughtfully.

Happy shopping!!!
